NAITC By-Laws BYLAWS OF THE NATIVE AMERICAN INTER TRIBAL COUNCIL OF WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS Article 1 Organization Section 1. Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Native American Inter Tribal Council of Western Massachusetts, Inc. Shall be held in May of each year, at which time there will be an election of officers. Notice of Meeting. At least seven days notice of the annual meeting shall be given to the membership.
The Inter-Tribal Council of Michigan (ITCM) and its consortium of 12 Federally Recognized Tribes and 1 urban American Indian Health and Family Services Agency applied and were funded to address barriers to healthy living in 13 Tribal communities, to help people just like Steve. The ICAE Scholarship Program will issue scholarship grants to qualified Native American applicants who are selected primarily for their individual merit. Eligibility requirements will be used to initially screen applications prior to the actual review process. High School students accepted at, or College students.
Other Meetings. Meetings shall be held monthly at such place as the Board of Directors shall designate.
Three members of the Board shall constitute a quorum. Each Board Member shall be entitled to one vote and equal voice in matters of philosophy, policy, and procedure. Number and Elections. The Board shall consist of up to seven members, including the Office of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and treasurer, who may also assume other positions such as, but not limited to, Cultural,Spiritual, Educational, Public Relations, Membership, and Outreach Director(s.) The Board should consist of at least four members. Elections shall take place at the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors following the meeting at which a vacancy is announced. Any Director may be removed from office by a consensus of the Board.

The officers of this corporation shall consist of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Chairperson. The Chairperson shall;preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors. The Secretary. The Secretary shall keep a record of the minutes of proceedings of the Board, and shall give notice as required by these bylaws of all meetings. The Treasurer. The Treasurer shall keep accounts of all monies, and valuables in the name of, and to the credit of the corporation.

In banks, and other depositories as the Board shall designate. All officers shall be elected for one year at the annual meeting of the Board of Directors. Terms of Office. All officers shall serve for the term of one year but any officer may be re-elected to the same position without limit on the number of terms they may serve. In case of the vacancy of an officer position, the remaining officers shall appoint a new officer to fill the un-expired term.
Any of these bylaws may be altered or repealed at a regular monthly meeting of the Board by consensus of the Board Members present.
